The Finance Director will report directly to the Vietnam Country Director and act as a trusted strategic advisor to the country leadership team. This role will be accountable for overseeing the full spectrum of finance activities in Vietnam, including financial strategy, planning, performance management, and decision support.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering insightful financial analysis, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with both local regulations and international accounting standards. The role will also be responsible for maintaining strong internal controls and compliance frameworks.

Working closely with commercial, sales, and supply chain teams, the Finance Director will support key business decisions by optimising pricing strategies, managing costs, and driving profitability improvements. In addition, this position will oversee cash flow management, risk and governance matters, and provide leadership in building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of experience across Finance, Controlling, and/or FP&A, ideally within the medical devices, pharmaceutical, or broader life sciences industry. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or an MBA are highly desirable.

As this is a senior leadership role, proven experience in leading and developing finance teams is essential, along with the ability to set strategic direction and act as a strong business partner to senior stakeholders.
