The Production Head - Ceramics oversees full-cycle ceramic manufacturing to ensure high quality, efficiency, cost control, and on-time delivery. This role also partners closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to strengthen operational performance and support future growth.

Our client is an Australian Manufacturer with facility in Mekong delta.

Job Description

  • Manage daily ceramic production across all processes, ensuring output, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently met.
  • Oversee mixed production scheduling to maintain efficiency for high-volume runs while meeting premium small-batch requirements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure quality standards for both mass-market and premium products, working closely with Technical Design and Project Management on product development.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance, QC, and Logistics to optimise raw materials, supplier performance, equipment reliability, and inventory.
  • Lead and develop production teams to build capability, strengthen performance, and support succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and international quality standards.
  • Analyse production data and provide insights and improvement recommendations to senior management.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field; Lean/Six Sigma certification is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding of ceramic manufacturing processes (mixing, forming, firing, glazing, finishing).
  • Proficiency with ERP/MES, Lean, 5S, ISO systems, and production-quality controls.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate labour-intensive teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Analytical, data-driven, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.
  • Good English communication skills and commitment to an on-site leadership role.
