Job Description

Position OverviewThe HR Director - ASEAN will lead the people agenda across a multi‑country cluster. The role oversees a workforce of approximately over 3,000 employees, operating primarily in a manufacturing environment.

This position partners closely with regional/local senior leadership to translate global HR strategies into effective regional and local execution, ensuring a consistent and high‑performing culture across diverse operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Regional HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the full HR strategy for the ASEAN cluster, ensuring alignment from Global → Regional → Local levels.
  • Serve as the principal HR advisor to the ASEAN General Manager and associated leadership team
  • Ensure strong governance, organization effectiveness, and capability development across multiple countries.



2. Workforce Planning & Organization Development

  • Drive headcount planning, organizational design, manpower allocation, and workforce optimization across conutries.
  • Strengthen leadership capability at all levels through structured development, coaching, and succession initiatives.
  • Build organizational resilience and future‑ready skills across the region.



3. Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Lead annual talent review cycles, succession planning, and critical‑role pipeline development.
  • Strengthen internal mobility, promote high‑potential identification, and ensure long‑term leadership continuity.
  • Oversee capability‑building frameworks relevant to both factory and commercial functions.



4. HRBP & COE Collaboration

  • Drive strong partnership between country HRBPs and regional COEs (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Operations, Payroll, Total Rewards).
  • Ensure seamless coordination on policy execution, workforce data management, and cross‑border HR service delivery.
  • Support COEs in regional rollouts while balancing local operational needs.



5. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Provide oversight to multi‑country recruitment needs, ensuring timely and high‑quality hiring for both production and functional roles.
  • Work with TA teams to enhance employer branding and pipeline development aligned with regional workforce trends.



6. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations across all ASEAN countries, aligned with company standards and code of conduct.
  • Manage complex ER/IR issues, especially in manufacturing environments.
  • Promote a fair, transparent, and safe working environment across all sites.



7. On‑site Leadership & Factory Partnership

  • Maintain strong presence at the primary manufacturing site in Vietnam.
  • Collaborate closely with plant leaders on workforce stability, labor planning, performance, and engagement initiatives.
  • Drive HR operational excellence at factory level, including productivity‑related workforce programs.



8. Culture, Engagement & Change Enablement

  • Lead culture reinforcement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational values and leadership expectations.
  • Oversee employee engagement programs across multiple countries.
  • Manage communication and change‑management for regional transformation projects.



Team Leadership & ReportingReporting Line

  • Reports to: Regional VPHR
  • Strategic partner to: Foreign General Manager (Vietnam‑based)



Matrix Partners

  • Regional COEs including TA, L&D, HR Ops, Payroll, and Total Rewards.

  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements in Vietnam.
